14 DAY TRIAL // A brand new trailer for season 5 of HBO’s hit series “Game of Thrones” has premiered online, bringing with it plenty of new footage and the very solid promise of typically-GoT twists and action scenes.
You can see it embedded below, but as a word of warning, prepare yourself to pause it many times, as you take it all in.
This preview is heavy on Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons, who, it seems, has decided that she will finally travel to Westeros and crush all her enemies, be they Lannisters, Baratheons, Starks or Tyrells.
Meanwhile, though, she is faced with a massive rebellion, and she comes to a disagreement with her current right-hand man (and lover) Daario Naharis.
The dragons are getting big too, as Tyrion Lannister gets to see for himself for the first time ever. You may recall that he fled his sister Cersei’s wrath at the end of the previous season, after the murder of the insufferable King Joffrey.
Elsewhere, Stannis Baratheon continues to move up north, taking over Castle Black because he’s finally understood that what lies beyond the Wall is much more important than getting the throne.
Jon Snow also appears a lot in this new preview, working on the alliance with the wildlings, as the only way possible to stop the White Walkers. And by the way, just in case you forgot, you get to hear those ominous words again: “Winter is coming.”
