Samsung already managed to make a big splash with its new 7-inch Android-based tablet, the Galaxy Tab, but it seems that we still don't know all that is to know about the device.

Already announced officially at IFA in Berlin, the new Android slate is expected to land on the market sometime in October across Europe, and it seems that other markets would get it sometime in November.

Among these markets, we can count the US, along with rumors on Sprint making a CDMA flavor of the tablet PC available for its users.

Moreover, it seems that the device might land there with 4G connectivity on board, something pretty impressive, on should agree, though unconfirmed for the time being.

However, previous rumors pointed towards a CDMA version of the slate being developed, as well as towards a possible launch on Verizon's airwaves, and it should not come as a surprise if Sprint gets the device too.

The one thing that still hasn't been made official is the price tag the slate should come with, though it seems that some confirmation in this area did emerge.

The Android-tablet should cost around $200-$300 when purchase with a contract agreement, since carriers would have it available on their airwaves.

It seems that th slate won't become available for purchase directly from the South Korean maker, and it price tag should differ according to the subsidies carriers plan on offering for it.

The info on the possible price tag for the tablet PC comes from Hankil Yoon, product manager for Samsung, a recent article on phone Arena notes.

Until more details on this become official, we should note that the Samsung Galaxy Tab has been already rooted.

According to the guys who managed to do this, the device they worked with was not the final flavor that should become available for purchase starting with next month, but only a prototype.

Most probably, the final software on the Galaxy Tab won't enable enthusiasts root it so easily, but it's still good to learn that this was possible.
