Samsung’s new Galaxy S III smartphone will arrive on shelves in Canada as well in the near future, and some more info on the matter has just emerged.

Apparently, the company’s Canadian support website shows a certain SGH-T999V handset, which is expected to become one of the various models that will be launched in the country.

According to a recent article on MobileSyrup, this handset could be launched as the non-LTE flavor of the Galaxy S III, and that carriers such as WIND Mobile, Mobilicity, Videotron and SaskTel might add it to their lineup.

Some of these wireless operators have been already confirmed to have plans for the launch of Galaxy S III in the country, and the presence of this SGH-T999V model on Samsung’s support page does not come as a surprise from this perspective.

What’s interesting to note, however, is that the model number falls in line with the rumored flavor of Galaxy S III that should emerge on shelves at T-Mobile in the United States.

This suggests that we’re actually looking at the HSPA+ version of Samsung’s new flagship smartphone, and that it might not be too long before it will bring all of its quad-core power to the market.

Previously, Samsung announced that the smartphone will be powered by a quad-core Exynos chip without offering LTE connectivity capabilities, and the SGH-T999V might sport the same hardware specs.

LTE-capable carriers such as Rogers, TELUS and Bell, on the other hand, are expected to launch their own Galaxy S III model, one that might sport a different CPU inside, and which will also be able to connect to their fast networks.

For the time being, no specific info on what the different Galaxy S III models for the Canadian market will be has emerged, but more might be unveiled in the not too distant future, so stay tuned.
