Today, Samsung’s Galaxy S III smartphone becomes available for purchase in a series of markets around the world, including the UK, where users can also grab protective cases for it.

Third-party retailers report that they have already received shipments of both official and unofficial cases for the handset, and they already started to put them up for purchase.

MobileFun UK is one of them, and it is now showing a range of such protective covers available for all those who will purchase a new Galaxy S III smartphone.

The retailer lists on its website two clever flip covers meant to replace the battery cover of the device to offer screen protection without making it bulk: Genuine Flip Cover Chrome Blue for Galaxy S3 and Genuine Flip Cover Marble White for Galaxy S3.

“Their durable construction offers premium protection. This is an official Samsung Galaxy S3 accessory, and comes in seven colors,” the online retailer also notes.

Additionally, it has the Slim Case White (Twin Pack) for Galaxy S3 and Slim Case Blue (Twin Pack) for Galaxy S3, both of which are incredibly thin, courtesy of a unique plastic injection process.

“The cases are amazingly thin, thanks to unique plastic injection processes that allow for impressive strength and reinforcement. These are likewise made specifically for the Galaxy S3 and are an official Samsung product,” the retailer states.

The first two cases are priced at £29.95 ($47 / €37.5) each, while the covers in the second set can be purchased for £14.95 ($23.5 / €18.7) each.

You can find additional info on the protective covers available for the new Samsung flagship Android device through the videos embedded below, or by heading over to MobileFun’s website to have a look at their specifications or to purchase one.

Today, Galaxy S III will be delivered to those who pre-ordered it in the UK during a special event that Samsung plans for its users. Other retailers and wireless carriers are expected to start handing the smartphone tomorrow.
