On Wednesday, Canadian mobile phone carrier TELUS has made available for purchase on its airwaves a new smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate.

The new device was rumored to be on its way to TELUS for quite some time now, but the wireless carrier did not offer specific info on its arrival until making it available for purchase.

Canadians interested in the purchase of the new device should head over to the wireless carrier's website here.

“Enjoy brilliant HD on an ultra-thin 4" super AMOLED display on the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 3G+. Only from TELUS,” the company notes there.

The new Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate was put on sale at TELUS with a price tag of ($349.99) $149.99 attached to it upon the signing of a three-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

However, users can also chose to purchase it with a 2-year term, while having to pay $429.99 for it, as well as on 1-year terms, for $479.99.

If purchased without a contract, the new Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate will set users back $529.99.

The new handset comes with a large touchscreen display, is powered by a 1GHz Hummingbird application processor, and packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with HD video recording capabilities.

Some of the main features it can offer to users include:

- Easy integration of Google applications and services, just by entering your Google account username and password - Seamless multi-tasking, with the ability to use different applications at the same time - Multiple home screens that you can fully personalize with your choice of dynamic widgets and applications - Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 3G+ upgrade to Android 2.2 coming this winter.

The new mobile phone sports great multimedia features, enabling users to easily view HD movies, games, and ebooks on its large display.

We should also mention that it sports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, as well as Mobile Wi-Fi HotSpot features.
