Today, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has officially announced the availability of the Galaxy S 4 smartphone in India starting with tomorrow, April 27.

The flagship Android device will feature a price tag of Rs. 41,500 ($766 / 587 Euro) when made available, with a free flip cover included. The smartphone will be available both in Black and White.

The new mobile phone will provide users with a premium experience while on the go, courtesy not only of high-end hardware packed inside it, but also of appealing software capabilities packed inside it.

Galaxy S 4 was made official last month with a large 5-inch touchscreen display on the front, capable of delivering a 1920 x 1080 pixel (full HD) resolution, as well as with an Exynos 5 Octa processor inside (with 4 Cortex-A15 cores clocked at 1.6GHz and a 4-core Cortex-A7 chip clocked at 1.2GHz).

The handset was unveiled in two flavors, one of which replaces the aforementioned eight-core processor with a 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, but keeps the same design and specs as the Exynos flavor.

Samsung also included the new smartphone with 2GB of RAM, 16GB / 32GB / 64GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

On the back, Samsung Galaxy S 4 sports a 13-megapixel photo snapper, paired with a 2MP front camera for making video calls.

The phone also sports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, GPS receiver, NFC, support for 4G LTE networks, a 2600mAh battery, and the usual set of sensors, along with some others more.

Running under Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, the Galaxy S 4 also features Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on top, as well as a variety of exclusive software capabilities from the company, such as Smart Scroll, Smart Pause, Air View, Dual Camera, Samsung Hubs, and more.
