Later this week, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is expected to make official its latest handset in the popular Galaxy Note series, and some more info on the device emerged over the weekend, straight from Samsung’s own website.

The smartphone, none other than the long-rumored Galaxy Note 4, was spotted in a User Agent Profile on the company’s online portal, which confirmed some of the hardware specs that it had previously been suggested to include.

One of the most appealing features that this device will include is a touchscreen display capable of delivering a Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, and the aforementioned UAProf (spotted by samsunggalaxynote4.net) clearly mentions that, as can be seen in the screenshot above.

As of last week, the handset vendor started to tease the new device through various channels, yet no specific details on the hardware specs it will include have been provided as of now.

The mobile phone will be officially revealed on September 3, during an Unpacked event held at the IFA 2014 trade fair in Berlin, Germany.

Apparently, the smartphone will prove to be a powerhouse, at least this is what previous reports on the matter have suggested.

According to leaks, Samsung will pack Galaxy Note 4 with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, which will make it as large as last year’s Galaxy Note 3.

Moreover, the new device is expected to be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 5433 processor, though a variant with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and Adreno 420 GPU will also be released, it seems.

The rumored specs list of this handset also includes 3GB of RAM, along with 32GB of internal storage, paired with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

At the same time, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is said to sport a 16-megapixel camera on the back, capable of recording videos in 4K resolution, as well as a 3.7MP front-facing camera, offering great video calling capabilities.

The mobile phone will also feature 4G LTE connectivity, the usual set of 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth capabilities, finger-print scanner, and S Pen.

The handset is expected to run under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system right from the start, though it will certainly receive an update to the newer Android L platform iteration soon after the OS becomes available.

There are only two days left until the Galaxy Note 4 goes official in Berlin, so stay tuned to learn whether the aforementioned rumored details on it indeed pan out or not.
