Samsung Galaxy Nexus is already available in Canada from leading carriers, such as Rogers, TELUS and Bell. However, smaller operators, including Mobilicity, Videotron and WIND Mobile have yet to add the Android 4.0 smartphone to their portfolios.

The folks over at MobileSyrup have spotted the Galaxy Nexus on WIND Mobile’s site with the “Coming Soon” tag and a $649 (495 EUR) no-term price, but these details have been quickly pulled by the carrier.

This might suggest that WIND Mobile plans to offer the Galaxy Nexus for a cheaper suggested retail price or the carrier was forced to delay the release of the smartphone due to unknown reasons.

All in all, Mobilicity and probably Videotron as well, are expected to launch the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on February 6.

We could’ve simply assumed that WIND Mobile would release the smartphone on the same date, but the carrier tweeted a message on its official account, which suggested that Galaxy Nexus might go live in two weeks’ time: “OH at WIND HQ: The GalaxyNexus is hitting stores in time for Valentine's Day.”

Either way, it’s safe to assume that WIND Mobile customers will be able to purchase the Galaxy Nexus around February 14 for a price that will be disclosed closer to the release date.

Those who are still unfamiliar with the Galaxy Nexus’ specs sheet should know that the smartphone is powered by Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and sports a stunning 4.65-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display (720 x 1280 pixels resolution) with oleophobic coating.

Hardware-wise, Galaxy Nexus is equipped with a 1.2 GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4460 CPU, a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit, 16GB of internal memory and 1GB of RAM.

Other highlights of the Android-based smartphone include: 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, microUSB (HML), HSDPA and HSUPA, as well as built-in GPS with A-GPS.
