Unveiled last month, Samsung's Galaxy Nexus next-generation smartphone is about to make its debut in various countries, along with Google's latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

Although Canada is not listed among the first 19 countries that will get the Galaxy Nexus, it appears that sources close to the matter confirm that the smartphone will be available in the country sooner than expected.

According to the guys over at MobileSyrup, Android fans living in Canada should be prepared as the Galaxy Nexus is expected to be launched “within the next few weeks.”

Even though no details about the phone's exact release date or pricing options emerged yet, hopefully the Galaxy Nexus will arrive on Canadian shores by the end of the month.

Stay tuned for more updates on the subject, as we receive word about the upcoming availability of the Galaxy Nexus.
