After releasing the GTX 460 Razer in the rest of the world, Galaxy has finally made this video card official in Europe through its premium brand KFA2.

In contrast to other GTX 460 solutions, the Razer features an unique design that keeps the GPU temperatures in check by using a single slot cooler.

This allows for the card to be used in cases where space is at a premium or in micro-ATX motherboards where using a dual-GPU solution would mean giving up on other expansion slots.

In addition, KFA2 (or Galaxy if you prefer) managed to achieve this feat without having to underclock the GTX 460 GPU, as the core runs at a full 675MHz while the 1GB of GDDR5 video buffer memory comes clocked at 900MHz (3.6GHz effective data rate).

As you probably know, the GTX 460 GPU is based on Nvidia's GF104 core and features 336 stream processors, 56 texture address units, 32 ROPs as well as a 256-bit memory bus.

According to Nvidia, the TDP is rated at 160W, the unofficial idle power draw coming in the 20W to 30W range.

In order to dissipate this heat, KFA2 used a vapor chamber design, similar to the one used in the reference GTX 570 and GTX 580 solutions.

“With the KFA2 GTX 460 Razor single slot solution, this has only excelled the GTX 460’s overall capability by not only enabling small form factor systems, including HTPC to be able to have impressive performance and features of GTX 460 in their build, but also gives the high-end enthusiast the option to fit six of these slim beasts into one machine” said Graham Brown, European Marketing Manager.

Unfortunately, the press release wasn't accompanied by any details regarding pricing and availability, but in the US, the Galaxy version, is listed at $249.99.
