As we have already learned from our previous Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 review, the GF106 graphics core is a beast when it comes down to overclocking, Galaxy pointing this out once again with its latest 1000MHz clocked GTS 450 Hall of Fame custom video card.

In order to provide us with this insanely clocked core speed, Galaxy had to move away from the GTS 450 reference design, the Taiwanese makes opting for a dual fan, four heatpipes packing custom cooling solution that is able of keeping that 1GHz core clock under control.

This is truly a remarkable feat if you consider the stock GTS 450 is clocked at just 783MHz, Galaxy managing to increase this frequency more then 27%, reaching that all impressive 1GHz mark.

And this is not all, since the appropriately named Hall of Fame also comes with an increased memory frequency, going from the standard 3.608GHz clock to 4100GHz.

Although the manufacturer doesn't provide us with any info regarding how quiet its custom cooling solution is, those two fans are actually PWM controlled so it may actually end up not being particularly noisy, at least not when standing idle that is.

Apart from these impressive clocks, its other features don't differ too much from a regular GTS 450 graphics card, Galaxy's 3+1 phase power supply sounding very similar to Nvidia's regular VRMs circuitry used for the GTS 450.

“Our new GTS 450 Hall of Fame edition demolishes the competition with a core clock of 1000Mhz.” said Shane Vance, US Sales, Galaxy.

“Our custom cooler, Samsung 0.4ns GDDR5 memory and Galaxy designed board allow us to achieve these insane speeds.

Unfortunately, Galaxy has not provided us with a release date or with a price tag for the Hall of Fame, but I certainly hope this won't end up costing a lot more then other GTS 450 based solutions.
