For those who doubted that Lady Gaga could ever do something surprising anymore, here’s proof: the remix from one of her tracks from “Born This Way,” together with the video for the Mugler fashion show.

Gaga has somewhat of a track record in terms of premiering new music on fashion shows, since she chose an Alexander McQueen show to give the world a first taste of her “Bad Romance.”

Now, she’s joined forces with Mugler, whose creative director, Nicola Formichetti, is a close friend of the singer and her stylist – and also the person behind her much-mediated meat dress.

Styleist informs that Gaga, Formichetti and fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco worked together to bring fans and the fashion world the video embedded below: a short film for the new Mugler menswear collection, on a remixed track from Gaga’s upcoming album.

Gaga wrote the song specifically for Formichetti, saying, “I love him, my friend the genius, my collaborator, more than any piece of clothing or closet I possess. But don’t tell him I said that, he’ll die. He picked them all out.”

Gaga then remixed the song for the fashion film. The complete, unremixed version will be included on her upcoming – and already very hyped – album, “Born This Way.”

“[The video] directed by fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco, Formichetti tracked down an unlikely muse in Canadian model Rick Genest,” Styleist informs.

“After seeing the skeleton-tattooed ‘Zombie Boy’ on Facebook, Formichetti flew to Montreal to shoot the video above. It is interspersed with clips from yesterday’s runway presentation,” the same e-zine says.

The video begins with Genest, also known as Rico, peeling off black paint to reveal his impressive body art – they don’t call him the “Zombie Boy” for nothing. He’s also shown with black veiling and wearing very Gaga-esque pearls.

Director Vivanco spoke to MTV News about what it was like to create something that was, at the same time, a short fashion film and basically a music video and revealed that, believe it or not, the video was done before he got to hear the remixed track.

The only hint he had of how it may sound came from Gaga, who tried to hum it to him, he says. Later, after shooting was done, he worked on the images and the audio in post-production.
