Lady Gaga and Paris Hilton went to the same school, which seems to have prompted some to compare them. They are both blonde, Gaga agrees but the most important thing that tells them apart is that Paris is not and will never be an artist.

Critics thrashed her whenever they had the chance but Paris Hilton still enjoys a pretty solid fanbase as a pop singer. In fact, she’s preparing for the release of new music material as we speak.

Granted, she may be a pop star and even singer, but an artist she’s not, Gaga says in a recent interview with the British magazine Q, as cited by Monsters And Critics.

Gaga attended the New York’s Convent Of The Sacred Heart, where sisters Paris and Nicky Hilton also went to school. The difference between them was huge, the hitmaker says.

“It’s true [that we went to school together], but I don’t see [Paris] as an artist,” Gaga says when informed that comparisons between her and Paris are being circulated based on where they went to school, their hair color and making music.

“People assume that all the girls who went to my school were like Nicky and Paris, and the truth is that I went to a very, very religious school and some girls were very artistic and some did drugs and didn’t give a [damn]. It was just like any other high school. Except we had nuns,” Gaga explains.

And, just like any other high school, the Convent also had the populars and the geeks, with Gaga belonging to the latter group, the one that always gets picked on and is left out.

“[At school] I was the smart, studious theatre and music student. I didn’t hang out with all the popular blonde girls. I wasn’t blonde really until I was 20 years old,” the star explains.

Speaking of going blonde, a little over a year ago, Gaga explained how she came to the conclusion she no longer wanted to be a brunette: too many reporters were mistaking her for Amy Winehouse and she wanted to be known for her own look.
