The Internet is overpopulated by millions of websites which would make us sell our soul to buy the latest/best/most efficient/ automatic gadget that cuts onions without making us shed a single tear.

The ultimate tiny robot that makes us useless around the kitchen, or the mascara brush that vibrates. No matter how great our passion would be for these gadgets, the environment shouldn't pay for it.

Lots of devices we buy with enthusiasm end up in landfills or, in a more optimistic scenario, gathering dust in our own household while still surrounding as energetic vampires.

Regardless of their size, gadgets your life doesn't depend on will waste precious energy. According to UK's Energy Saving Trust, our tendency to fill our lives with unnecessary items which absorb energy might interfere with the government's plan of cutting the carbon footprint in households, making it miss its target by 7 million tonnes.

An eco-friendly conduct doesn't rely on abstinence. It relies on a good judgement when it comes to your shopping cart.
