The Mountain View-based company is now testing a different type of advertising platform, the gadgets ads representing an innovative solution in the online market. Basically, those tiny utilities that are implemented in iGoogle or Google Desktop are now well-developed and are evolved to the rank of adverts, allowing the search giant to include flash animations, videos or feeds. They can be easily embedded into a website as the products are compatible with numerous products developed by the company. The first test was discovered a long time ago when some users discovered a video Google ad described as a gadget that contains animated content.

"Advertisers will incur no serving or hosting costs to run Gadget Ads, which come in standard IAB ad formats. The ads will be placed through the existing auction system, allowing marketers the option of bidding by publisher's site or content theme. With either CPC or CPM pricing, Gadget Ads can be integrated into an existing AdSense budget," Online Media Daily reported.

In the recent period, Google struggled to develop its advertising platform but there were no clear signs that it intends to make it more powerful for the online market. Usually, the Mountain View firm tried to expand the services into the offline media by making several partnerships with newspapers and radio stations. Recently, it signed a deal with Clear Channel, a famous company that owns numerous radios that will surely help Google into this important move.

As you might know, Google AdSense is an advertising platform that allows users to earn money by placing ads on their websites. AdWords, the other ad solution is different and helps publishers and companies advertise their products straight on the Google search engine result page or by using the ads distributed through AdSense.
