She claims that she's been the victim of digital hate crime

The person to speak out in the Celebgate 2 scandal is actress Gabrielle Union. She only had a few photos leak online, and they were actually among the “milder” ones, clearly not as bad as other female celebrities had.

In the photos, Gabrielle appears without her top on, photographing herself in the bathroom mirror. The actress has spoken with TMZ and claims that those photos were taken in the intimacy of her home and meant for her husband only. She claims that this is a clear violation of her intimacy that that she has already contacted the FBI.

Union is appalled by the leak, calls it a digital hate crime

A joint statement from Union and her husband Dwayne Wade claims that “it has come to our attention that our private moment, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures.”

They also said that “I can’t help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them. These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide.”

Though Union's comparison might be a little far-fetched, it is clear that she's disturbed by the leak which has again brought up questions of morality and internet ethics. She can only comfort herself at this point with knowing that she is not the only one affected by the leak.

More photos are leaked, celebrities react by calling the FBI

Yesterday, similar photos of model Emily Ratajkowski and actress Jenny McCarthy have also been leaked online, adding to the huge list of hacked celebrities involved in the Celebgate scandal. For them, Union has only kind words, “For anyone out there also being affected by these and other hacking and hate crimes - We send our love, support and prayers.  We have done nothing wrong.”

Specialists are still trying to determine if the latest set of photos are part of a new attack on the iCloud accounts of celebrities or if they are from the same batch and the ones in the first leak. As you may know, since the first leak occurred, Apple has instituted new security methods for accessing your iCloud account, despite claiming that leaks were not directly caused by a security flaw.

Union is not the first hacked celebrity to call the FBI. When the first scandal broke out, Kirsten Dunst, McKayla Maroney and Jennifer Lawrence also resorted to requesting special investigations and filing official complains.
