Bering an eerie resemblance to what happened a month or so ago when the GTX 580 was launched, the British retailer YoYo Tech has listed the upcoming GeForce GTX 570 graphics card on its website, revealing the price as well as its specifications ahead of the launch date.

Available for pre-order right now, the GTX 570 will be available at the British retailer starting December 10, for £299.56 including VAT.

At this price, the GTX 570 is positioned between the GTX 580 and GTX 470, coming in a full £100 cheaper than the top of the line Nvidia graphics card and about £110 more than the GTX470, just about right in my opinion.

When it comes down to the GTX 570 specs, not many things have changed from the previous leaks, the GTX 570 GPU coming with 480 CUDA cores as well as with a 320-bit GDDR5 memory interface.

Frequencies have also remained unchanged, the core being run at 732MHz while the shader clock is set at 1.4GHz (1464MHz to be more exact as the shaders are clocked two times as high as the GPU in the Fermi architecture), the 1.28GB of memory being run at 3,800MHz.

On the power draw side of things, the GTX 580 comes with two 6 pin power connectors and draws 225W, KitGuru stating the card will run neck and neck with the GTX480 on performance, while using 10% less power.

Considering that the GTX 480 is pretty much discontinued, this makes a lot of sense, especially if we take a look at the core's specification, the GTX 570 sporting the same number of CUDA processing cores as the GTX 480.

End of it all, I think December will be a pretty interesting month as far as computer graphics are concerned, AMD following to release its HD 6900 architecture that should bring a hefty speed increase over the current Cypress based cards.
