14 DAY TRIAL // Rockstar GTA Online is definitely very popular among fans of the franchise and will become even more popular once the game lands on PC.
Unfortunately, the game still has its issues that haven’t been fixed to date and will probably never will. A few months after GTA Online got released, many players have reported they have been deranked in the game and some or all of the stuff they acquired suddenly disappeared.
Imaging how you would feel if you slowly made your way to level 100 and then one day you log in to GTA Online and find out that you are back on level 1 and that you have lost all your cars, houses, clothes and/or money.
It looks like the game has a system that is intended to detect any attempt to cheat and those who make use of cheating methods are punished by being deranked.
However, instead of getting everyone found cheating the GTA Online system only detracts the ranks from which the players have used a cheating method and live those who were earned in good faith untouched.
This is why some GTA Online players only lost 5 or 6 levels and some of the in-game stuff they acquired while cheating. Unfortunately, there are lots of people who have been deranked and lost more than 100 levels even though they haven’t cheated.
Rockstar advises deranked players to submit support tickets and complete the tutorial
Most of them have been reinstated and got back all the stuff they lost overnight, but the fact that it’s still happening after more than a year since GTA Online’s launch makes it annoying to say the least.
Rockstar’s forums are full of complaints coming from people who got deranked in the last few days, but there are reports dating from 2014 even.
The official answer everyone that got deranked in GTA Online is getting from Rockstar is to complete the tutorial and then submit a ticket to the support team. If everything is ok with your account and you haven’t cheated, then Rockstar will restore any legitimately lost RP to your character.
So, if you one day log in to your GTA Online account and notice that your character has been deranked to level 1 and all your fortune suddenly disappeared, then don’t get a heart attack and submit a support ticket after completing the tutorial.
