Grand Theft Auto Online, the multiplayer experience of Grand Theft Auto 5, will allow players to earn the favor and loyalty of different factions and non-playable characters during their online adventures, and they can even decide what other players they want in their version of Los Santos.

Grand Theft Auto Online is set to make its debut two weeks after the launch of Grand Theft Auto 5, with Rockstar opting to wait a bit before deploying the multiplayer experience, as part of a free update to all users.

After learning quite a few details yesterday, a bunch of fresh info has surfaced, via CVG, this time concerning the things that players can do in the game's world besides organizing heists, going on crime sprees, or things like that.

The loose plot that connects the different missions is based on different NPCs (Non-Playable Characters) players can interact with and they can even earn favors by completing different errands. What's more, factions, like biker gangs or security firms, can help players during their adventures.

GTA Online's world will be populated with other players based on a new system developed by Rockstar that takes into account the friends of a player, his crew members, and similarly skilled characters that are also enjoying the online mode.

This population mechanic can be tweaked by players, as they ultimately decide whom they want to play with, even going so far as to hand-pick every other person in the world.

The play style of a person is constantly analyzed by Rockstar's system and more missions that fit their style are shown on the game's world.

All these missions can be tweaked by Rockstar through its Social Club, which made its debut back with Grand Theft Auto IV and has been constantly improved with new titles like Max Payne 3.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is out on September 17 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, while GTA Online makes its debut on October 6.
