Developers are now investigating an issue with the feature

GTA Online players have gotten their Holiday Season update last month when Rockstar released the Festive Surprise content update that added snow and possibility to initiate snowball fights among others.

Well, it appears that the update must have also introduced a glitch, or that glitch was only recently discovered and exploited by GTA Online players because Rockstar has just disabled a feature that was available in the game for a long time.

If you’ve been out of the game for a few weeks and you have just started gaming again, then you might have already noticed that you can’t make bets on jobs anymore.

That has nothing to do with you, your game or your gaming platform of choice. It is developer Rockstar that has just announced this particular feature has been disabled.

The ability to bet on jobs will be reintroduced with the next Title Update

Rockstar also confirmed that the ability to bet on jobs will be re-enabled in the future update, assuming they will be able to fix any problems that led to the removal of this ability in the first place. Here is the developer’s official statement on the issue:

“Betting has been temporarily disabled in GTA Online while we investigate an issue, but will return in a future Title Update. If you would like to receive an automatic email notification as soon as there is more information, please log into the Support site and click “

While no clear explanation has been given for the temporary removal of the feature, many GTA Online players claim that there are people who exploit a glitch within this ability to bet on jobs to get easy money and thus having an unfair advantage over others.

Another problem that some GTA Online players complained about is that a glitch that may cause those who bet on a job to lose money even if they bet on the winner.

Anyway, whatever the cause of the issue, GTA Online players will be able to bet on jobs again once Rockstar releases the next Title Update.
