14 DAY TRIAL // In the 23 years history of the Golden Joystick Awards, this year was the first time that over 200,000 players voted to establish the game of the year and, according to them, GTA: San Andreas was the big winner of the night, taking home 5 of the 19 prizes.
The controversial computer game Grandtheft Auto: San Andreas has made a big impact on the gamers' community, with or without the HotCoffee mod that triggered another wave of criticism. The game became the best-selling title of 2004, caused a scandal in July, after secret sex scenes were discovered, and the rating had to be changed.
But this turned out to be, in the end, just another great opportunity for GTA to be a magnet for everybody's attention and, instead of being less demanded, it has gained even more from this publicity.
