Apparently, GTA IV will have some new impressive features, but is it all true?

Now that there's a more controversial title than GTA IV out there, I guess we can speak freely about it, without worrying that someone may get the wrong idea. Manhunt 2 has become the hottest topic of discussion now, so if I told you that the Turkish Official Xbox Magazine has some head-turning facts about GTA IV's RPG elements, you probably wouldn't be interested, right?

Actually, that's not at all the case. Even though Manhunt 2 is probably never going to hit any platform (except for the PC and not even that's a certainty), Rockstar's GTA IV is even more popular. Plus, it's launching on both the Xbox 360 and PS3. Now, what the Turkish magazine says is that, apparently, missions will be strongly connected to the events and mishaps occurring in real life. CVG provides a simple, yet satisfactory example: "... hypothetically speaking - if you're tasked with catching a train and miss it, you won't be able to do that particular mission."

Talk about realistic features...! Isn't it true that you've asked yourself at least once: what if they made a game so realistic that if you threw a rock from a rooftop, it would set off a chain reaction, enabling you to finish the stage earlier/easier or later/harder? Well, maybe you put it in different terms, but you know what I mean.

The Turkish mag also informs that explosions within the game are also said to make a blasting return. They say one mission is actually based entirely around detonating one car after the other (chain reaction...?). But as it turns out, vehicles only explode now when you target them with a rocket launcher, leaving less fun for crashing I presume.

As CVG themselves post, here is the list of new features broken down for you:

"-There's a slight vibration with every footstep when you run

- The HUD has been removed. If you have armour, you actually have a bulletproof vest which visually deteriorates

- Flame thrower and rocket launcher are still in the game

- Niko doesn't get tired. You can run forever, it just wont be as fast as previously.

- Gore is back and better. Bullet wounds show, blood appears where you shoot people. Enemies limp if you shoot them in the leg and hold their arm if you shoot their arm. Apparently when you run someone over it's quite disturbing.

No eating, girlfriends or keeping fit- but your skills do improve over time (driving etc)."

An update on this very piece of news, though, says that it may all be a hoax - the "miss-the-train" thing, most likely. Everyone's waiting for confirmation from Rockstar. Let's hope they don't burst the fans' bubbles.
