Grand Theft Auto 5 developer Rockstar Games confirms that it's going to release quite a few existing features from the PC version of the game onto the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, such as The Lab radio station, but also specifically for the PS4 and Xbox One, such as the Rockstar Editor for video processing.

GTA 5 launched on many platforms throughout the years, surfacing first on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September of 2013, and then on PS4 and Xbox One in November of last year. The game finally went live, after many delays, on the PC version back in April, and it brought forth a lot of exclusive features.

The Lab radio station and Rockstar Editor are coming to consoles

While talking with fans on its official website, developer Rockstar Games confirms that it wants to bring some of the exclusive features from the PC version of GTA 5 onto consoles.

First up, all consoles will receive as part of a free update The Lab radio station, although there isn't any available release date just yet.

Secondly, PS4 and Xbox One users will be able to edit the videos made in Grand Theft Auto 5 on their platform using the Rockstar Editor soon enough. This feature is also still in development, so it's unclear when exactly it might surface.

One thing is certain, however, the Rockstar Editor isn't coming for GTA 5 on PS3 and Xbox 360, as the older consoles aren't able to run it as intended.

"The Rockstar Editor is an advanced tool requiring additional processing power so it would not be compatible with GTAV on the older systems, but we are currently working on a version tailored for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles – and we hope to release that sometime this summer, or as soon as it is ready. We are also planning to bring The Lab radio station to all four consoles in a forthcoming title update. Please stay tuned for more information," the studio explains.

As of yet, Rockstar is still busy releasing new bug fixes for the PC version of GTA 5, so it's unclear when its future content updates will arrive.
