The performance and enthusiast markets have been practically flooded with high-end components over the past few months. Processors have risen, including six-core parts, and, of course, DirectX 11-capable graphics cards have made their entrance, among with the GeForce GTX 480 and GTX 470 from NVIDIA are the most noteworthy. Naturally, the memory segment would not fall behind, and most players even came up with special DDR3 kits that had speeds even higher than, as incredible as it may sound, 2,600 MHz. Now, G.Skill decided to go just as far, only in terms of capacity.

Some may remember that, about a month ago, G.Skill came out and revealed that it had completed a DDR3 memory kit of an astounding 24GB. Said kit operated at CL9 and a frequency of 2,000 MHz. Like all enthusiast-grade RAM offerings, this kit boasts a cutting edge performance as well as top quality and compatibility with many high-end motherboards with enough slots to accommodate all six of the 4GB modules.

Now, the same memory and Flash storage solutions developer has decided to provide a similar product, only better than its predecessor. The capacity is the same, 24GB, and is achieved by means of the same combination of six 4GB modules. Furthermore, the kit functions on a voltage of 1.65V.

Its real asset, however, is the CL8 latency. Basically, as G.Skill itself puts it, this kit hits “another high-end boundary, making it the absolute ultimate choice for the extreme users.”

“G.Skill’s 24GB kits are specifically produced to provide not only cutting edge performance but also top quality and compatibility across a range of popular motherboards designed for gaming, high-end workstations, hardcore power users and anyone who loves living on the cutting-edge,” states the official announcement.

Unfortunately, the kit's manufacturer did not say when or where this product would become available, nor at what price.
