14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has been pushing out a load of new themes for its Windows 7 platform, and two new such personalization options are now available for download.
Both these themes can be installed for free on Windows 7 PCs, and both of them come from the same artist: Duncan Lawler.
Images signed by him were included in two other themes we had the chance to stumble upon recently, Garden Macros and Frost Macros.
The new themes are as impressive. The first of them, Futuristic Fractals, will bring to your computer’s desktop abstract images that are certain to make your mind go wild.
“Bring unexplored dimensions to your desktop background with these images of mind-blowing intricacies—some mechanical, some ethereal, some seemingly colossal,” Microsoft describes this theme.
“The line between the natural and virtual worlds is beautifully blurred in this free theme for Windows 7 featuring artwork by Duncan Lawler.”
The second theme will provide you with the possibility to admire more earthly dimensions, courtesy of high-resolution images with rocky landscapes, stone canyons and other natural formations.
In case you have never had the chance to see them in person, you are certain to be impressed by their beauty, underlined in these photos.
“Rock formations that evoke alien landscapes and magnificently sculpted stone canyons, spires, and arches will bring the Southwest to you, no matter where you happen to live,” Microsoft notes.
As stated above, both these themes are available for download for free. According to Microsoft, they have been designed to work with Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate editions.
However, the same as with other themes for the platform, the new ones should work just fine on Windows 8 Consumer Preview (on Developer Preview as well). Just hit the download link and give them a try.
