Canadian customers who are anxious to get the HTC Sensation and the LG Optimus Black will be happy to find that both smartphones are now available for pre-order.

However, neither Bell, nor Telus will be taking pre-orders of the devices yet, instead major retailer Future Shop has them both on pre-order status.

Those who wish to take advantage of the offer should simply walk in any of the retailer's stores and give a $50.

As a reminder, the HTC Sensation is expected to hit shelves via Bell starting July 5th, while the LG Optimus Black Skype Edition should be out on the market through Telus in the next few weeks.

Unveiled earlier this year during the Consumer Electronics Show, the Optimus Black promises users a longer battery time and unparalleled energy efficiency.

The smartphone comes with a 4.0-inch multi-touch screen display, which is based on LG's NOVA technology.

According to LG, the Optimus Black is capable of emitting 700 nits (candela per square meter) and it features 16 million colors support, 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

On the inside, LG Optimus Black is equipped with a Texas Instruments 3630 processor clocked at 1 GHz speed and runs Google's Android 2.2 Froyo platform, along with LG's Optimus 2.0 and Gesture 2.0 user-friendly interfaces.

Other highlights of the phone include: HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA function, Wi-Fi Direct-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR support, as well as GPS with A-GPS support.

HTC Sensation is equipped with a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon application processor and runs Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform.

The phone features full HSDPA support and boasts a superior 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, dual-LED flash, as well as secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

Furthermore, it comes with a large qHD 4.3-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

In addition, it packs 1 GB of internal memory, 768 MB RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB included).

Stay tuned for more updates on the matter, as both smartphones are picked by other Canadian retailers.
