When he’s not attracting attention to himself for saying the bad thing at the bad time, Kanye West is taking fashion bloggers to war, especially if they happen to pick on him and girlfriend Amber Rose for wearing fur clothes. In an all-caps post on his official website, the rapper launches a bitter and foul-mouthed attack against bloggers who have criticized his fashion choices during Paris Fashion Week, where he and Rose attended.

Kanye loves fur and so does Amber. These past few days, the two have been repeatedly photographed in fur coats, which has prompted talk of their encouraging other people to do the same by sending out the message that killing animals for their fur is ok. The least they could have done, it was being said, was to go for fake fur, the quality kind, the one that resembles natural fur very closely and, what’s more important, does not involve the slaughtering of innocent animals to get.

As it happens, Kanye will not be having any of this kind of criticism. “When it’s all said and done, remember the fearless, remember the dreamers, remember those who represent the ghetto… The fairy tale of nothing to something. I’m briefly saddened by negative comments, but I have to remember those people are scared, incapable or just plain idiots. We are the [expletive]-ing rock stars baby. No cocaine, just life my niggas!! No cocaine, just life! It’s funny to me when fashion bloggers down our outfits and then super jock outlandish [expletive] on the runway but then they dress mad prude and don’t live fashion. We live it man. [Expletive] that, we live it!!! We live it so hard people live through us!” Kanye says.

There’s more. “We represent your inner spirit!! The child in us all, the brutal honesty, the naivety, the brave warrior, the adrenaline that allows a mother to lift a car if her child was trapped under it! […] Imagine the pressure of being a true icon. Very few human beings are strong enough to take constant hate!!! If we don’t do what you feel is the [expletive], you beat us up verbally and mentally, like a catholic school teacher beating a creative student into submission. I can hear you screamin’ ‘Color inside the lines!!!’ Well [expletive] your coloring book, color by numbers approach to life,” the rapper further says.

The rant ends with a hint that fashion critics are putting him down solely because he happens to be black. He also says that taste is selective, and that he has it while those who criticize him don’t. What Kanye fails to understand, though, is that no one actually picked on the design of his clothes, but rather that some of the items he had on were made of fur, several US media outlets point out. PETA too will probably join in the verbal dispute, so keep an eye on this space for that.
