Although Fujitsu is gearing up for a CeBIT release (or rather, public showcase) of their STYLISTIC Q550 Slate PC, it seems that the company's decided to offer a full preview of its features about a week earlier, complete with the price point, during a Tokyo event.

So, according to Fujitsu, what we're talking about here is a 10.1-inch slate running the Windows 7 operating system, a feature that will help it blend-in a lot faster with existing enterprise networks, many of which are also built on various platforms from Microsoft.

It's also interesting to point out that the backlit IPS display also provides some wide viewing angles, as well as multiple input capabilities, including here support for multi-touch input, as well as stylus or pen input.

Naturally, quite a lot of connectivity and networking options have also been thrown in the mix, including here Bluetooth and optional mobile broadband 3G (UMTS/EVDO), allowing users to stay up to date with the online segments of their work at all times and wherever they might be at any given moment.

Given the fact that it targets mostly the enterprise segment, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that the new tablet from Fujitsu also packs a few very interesting security solutions, including here a Fingerprint Sensor and an integrated SmartCard reader slot.

Plus, full disk encryption and and optional embedded Trusted Platform Module (TPM) are also listed among the available options.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll have to mention that Fujitsu's estimate starting price point for their tablet has been set at some point immediately 800 US dollars, which, to be perfectly honest, it's not exactly great news, since it will certainly have a tough time taking on the other competitors already available out there, many of which sell for a lot less.
