Despite Fujitsu's having acquired 50% of Siemens' stake in their PC business, we are still months away from the end of the Fujitsu-Siemens brand, which is why we are probably still going to see the release of a couple of new systems, just like the three new portable PCs the company has just introduced. The LifeBook U820, N7010 and P1630 have been specifically designed to deliver several unique features users are likely to enjoy. Basically, the new U820 is a refresh to the company's U810, and comes as a convertible mini notebook, weighing just 1.32 pounds, while the LifeBook N70101 and the P1630 are the first full-size notebooks to integrate a second touch-sensitive display and a feather-like convertible tablet PC.

When it comes to specifications, the new LifeBook U820 has been designed as a mini notebook, powered by the same Intel Atom processor that has been featured in most of those low-cost netbooks on the market. However, unlike conventional netbooks, this LifeBook U820 is set to provide users with a 5.6-inch Crystal View wide XGA touchscreen that goes very well with the system's integrated Garmin Mobile PC navigation software.

Moreover, unlike the previous model, the new convertible PC comes with an additional row of keys that brings the user closer to the experience they would have with a full QWERTY keyboard. Equipped with a 4-cell battery, the small-sized system can provide a maximum of 7.5 hours of battery life. As far as storage is concerned, users can deal with as much as 120GB of space, or 64GB on a solid-state drive. Price-wise, the system is set to start at $1,049, which will provide them with a built-in Windows Vista Business or Home Premium.

The fully-fledged 16-inch LifeBook N7010 comes to deliver the power of an Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor, combined with a discrete ATI Radeon HD 3470 graphics card, providing 256MB of GDDR3 memory. Additional features include a 4-inch touchscreen display for photo slide show, CD/DVD controls, as well as an application-launcher, integrated Blu-ray optical drive, HDMI, eSATA, card reader, built-in 1.3 MP webcam, Bluetooth, high-speed wireless connectivity, all packed in a system that starts at $1,499.

The LifeBook P1630 weighs only 2.2 pounds, and is closer to most netbooks out there, in terms of display size, which has been featured at 8.9-inch. The convertible notebook has been designed to take advantage of an Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) Intel Core 2 Duo SU93000 processor, which, combined with a high-capacity battery option, can deliver up to 6.15 hours of battery life. The top and bottom of the system boast a magnesium-alloy exterior, for extra durability and protection. This convertible PC is set to start at a price of $2,179.
