It was only a matter of time before Fujitsu announced another laptops and, sure enough, it completed the Lifebook SH771, which is supposed to have both good performance and battery life.

The Fujitsu Lifebook SH771 is said to have a battery life of 14 hours.

This would be a lot in any case, which makes it especially noteworthy in this instance since the item is a full-fledged laptop, not a netbook or anything of the sort.

With a screen size of 13.3 inches, it is based on an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 central processing unit which, naturally, has its own graphics chip.

Whatever CPU is selected, it is backed by up 4 GB of DDR3 RAM (random access memory).

Meanwhile, storage space is provided by a hard disk drive (HDD) with a capacity of 500 GB and a platter speed of 7,200 RPM.

“Fujitsu understands the importance of the balance between power and portability for modern day usage and we address those needs in our products, pushing the limits of design and innovation to bring quality and reliable products to our users,” said Mr Lim Teck Sin, vice president, Product Marketing and Engineering, Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific.

“The introduction of the Fujitsu LIFEBOOK SH771 marks the start of a line of products that will take our designs to the next level.”

Speaking of reliability, Fujitsu put special stock on physical durability here, choosing a magnesium alloy case that can take up to 200 kilogram-force (kgf).

Other specifications include an USB 3.0 port with USB Anytime Charging plus (which can charge phones, PMPs, MP3 players, etc., without having to power on the laptop) and the Wireless Display technology (streams photos and / or videos to HDTV).

Currently, the price is of $$2,288, which translates into $1,787 and 1,303 Euro. This month is when shipments should begin.
