Just like every other hardware maker has done some time over the past 24 hours, Fujitsu proudly introduced its own product based on Intel's Pine Trail platform and, of course, using the Pineview chips. Unlike Dell, HP and MSI, however, Fujitsu didn't exactly introduce another netbook. The new device form the Japanese company, product known as the LifeBook MH380, is more of a miniature laptop than a low-cost netbook and promises full-featured PC capabilities, seamless connectivity and excellent file sharing.

“Fujitsu prides quality above all else and has created the perfect personal companion for 2010 with the Fujitsu LifeBook MH380," said Mr. Raymond Foo, Associate Vice President, Product Marketing and Engineering, Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific. “It’s not just a mere style upgrade of its predecessors, it is a piece thoughtfully crafted to meet the needs of the new consumer: always on-the-go and always looking for the best answer to user-friendliness and technological capabilities.”

The elegant LifeBook MH380 uses, besides the Pineview processor, 2GB of RAM, a SATA hard rive capable of 250GB storage at 5400 RPM and a 10.1-inch HD Back-Light LED Glare display with a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768. The device also has good file sharing capabilities via the wireless or USB connection. Through its USB sharing applications, the mini-notebook can share files with another computer and even use its ODD (DVD/CD).

Of course, the MH380 boasts the connectivity capabilities that have now become standard in laptops, such as 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN, 100/10Mbps Ethernet and Bluetooth® V2.1 +EDR. The product also features a 1.3-megapixel webcam, SD and SDHC card slots and a multigesture touchpad, as well as a scroll wheel. The mini-notebook is capable of excellent image processing, even supporting VoIP communications (both voice and visual) thanks to CyberLink’s YouCam.

Unfortunately, pricing and availability details have not been disclosed. Most likely, such information will be made available during CES 2010 in January.
