Earlier today we were talking about a rumor claiming that the new Fujifilm weather sealed X-series camera would be announced sometime at the end of this month and not at the CP+ show as previously reported.

According to FujiRumors, an anonymous source has revealed that the upcoming camera's name is X-T1 and it will have an SLR style body as well as an additional battery grip and shutter release.

According to the same source, the new Fujifilm X-T1 has an extra-large electronic viewfinder (EVF) and comes equipped with the same 16.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS II sensor found on the Fujifilm X-E2 interchangeable-lens camera.

So far, we know that the future weather-sealed X-series Fujifilm camera will also incorporate a double SD card slot, but further information will be offered by the Nippon manufacturer later this month.

Fujifilm X-T1’s price will probably be somewhere between the X-E2 and X-Pro1 mirrorless cameras. Stay tuned as we try to find out more on this matter.
