Launched in March 2012, Fujifilm's X-Pro1 mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera was received very well by fans and critics that praised its high ISO performance.

Fuji has since then adopted a “Kaizen” approach regarding the X-Pro1's firmware, releasing 8 critical updates meant to fix the poor auto focus performance and speed as well as adding new features like the “Focus Peak Highlight” function found on Fujifilm's X100S and X20 models.

A while ago, a new update was announced for the X-Pro1 camera planned to release on December 5, but, unfortunately, today the Nippon manufacturer announced on its global website that the update has been postponed to December 19 without giving further explanations.

After the big 3.0 firmware update, many users have complained that the video recording mode was not working properly and a new update was needed to fix the issue. This time Fuji, might have discovered a bug right before the announced launch date and postponed it in order to fix it and deliver a bug free firmware update.
