After Olympus announced the new 15mm f/8.0 body cap lens a few weeks ago, it seems that Fujifilm has also been planning to add a lens of this type to its lineup.
Japanese website DCwatch has spotted the new Fujifilm 24mm f/8.0 cap lens at CP+ in both black and white versions mounted on the Fujifilm X-M1 and X-A1 mirrorless cameras.
The new Fujifilm body cap lens comes with a 35mm equivalent focal length of 36mm and has a maximum aperture of f/8.0. The optic can focus as close as 1m and it's lightweight, weighing only 32g / 1.1oz.
Although displayed by Fujifilm at its booth at the CP+ 2014 show in Yokohama, the Nippon manufacturer is yet to reveal the lens' price and release date. Check out the images below for a quick look at Fujifilm's new 24mm f/8.0 body cap optic for interchangeable lens cameras.
The company also has on display the recently announced X-T1 weather sealed mirrorless camera, X100S Black Limited Edition, as well as a mockup of the upcoming XF 50-140mm F2.8 R OIS WR, XF 16-55mm F2.8 R LM OIS WR, and XF 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lenses.
