Looks nothing like a fruit

Who can stop people's minds from dreaming of wacky mobile phone concepts? A new one has just been developed and looks quite interesting, although no producer will have the courage of picking up and using it.

The Fruit Tray concept is called as such because of the keypad's design. In fact, this specific mobile phone part is the element which makes it appealing. Other than that, all we have is a slim, white classic candybar handset. Some of the keypad's buttons are lowered in level, while others are elevated. This resembles a mattress or an egg cardboard.

In fact, the phone looks nothing like a fruit. Its smooth, white case and interesting keypad have nothing from the colors and shapes of any fruits out there. Still, the concept is fresh enough to deserve its name and also a bit of attention. The design mimics are supposed to contour a typical fruit tray.

Timo Wong is the one behind the concept. He has not thought about the phone's performances, but only about its design. Although there are some pretty evolved capabilities that such slim mobile phones could provide, its design is surely the element that might make it work.

The keypad looks quite relaxing, suitable even for a thumb massage, although it might be incredibly frustrating if the user might accidentally press the wrong button precisely because of this design. The bumps have high chances of being quite comfortable, but low chances of ever actually hitting the market, as it usually happens with handset concepts. They sound and look great, but never have the chance of being tested, or fail in moving past the concept state to the one of a real product.

Although no specifications have been added to this handset concept, it sounds highly unlikely for it to become true anyway. Nice, idea, though.
