Several formats added to AdSense

The popular AdSense advertising platform received a new important update that helps the advertisers configure the appearance of the ads delivered to their update. Some time ago, the parent company Google released new formats for the adverts, but today's update brings even more configuration options for the advertisers. You're now able to customize the appearance of the ads by modifying the shape to square, slightly rounded and very rounded.

"This week, we've added a new dimension for publishers in customizing these ad formats. You've long been able to customize the size and colors of your ad units; now, you can also customize the shape by selecting between square, slightly rounded, or very rounded corners," Teo Wickland, AdSense Product Marketing, said today.

Please keep in mind that the appearance of the adverts depends on the color of your website so if you have a background with the same color as the adverts, you're not able to view the rounded corners. As usual, if you want to configure the interface of the adverts delivered by AdSense, you can go to the AdSense Setup tab, click on Products and choose AdSense for Content. You should be able to view a new option, codename Corner Styles, that allows you to select the appearance of the ads.

"This new option is part of our ongoing effort to improve the look and feel of our ads. We're also working to give you even more choices to customize your ad formats while maximizing revenue and user satisfaction. We hope you enjoy the new corner options, whether you choose to go edgy or bubbly," the Google employee added.

As you may know, you're able to choose from several formats of the ads such as horizontal (leaderboard, banner or half banner), vertical (skyscraper, wide skyscraper or vertical banner) and square (different sizes of rectangles).
