Set to hit the shelves in March 2008, the new headset from Mustek is one good-looking piece of audio tech. We're talking a combination between two gadgets, resulting in a new and cool one, even if there's no groundbreaking innovation involved.

[admark=1]The Freestyle! headset is indeed one cool piece of audio technology that somehow deserves the exclamation point as it boasts a lightweight construction and a sport-oriented design that will prevent your headphones from falling off in most occasions. These new Mustek headphones have a back-of-the-neck joint and they are supposed to sit in your ears as a resting point; hence the need for a small weight in order to eliminate the potential wearing discomfort.

The second cool thing is that this headset also incorporates a music player with a neat 2GB storing space and being capable to run on both MP3 and WMA tracks. The capacity of around 600 songs should be enough for your sport habits or other preoccupations where you might need some music with you. As specified so far, the Freestyle! will have a 10 hour battery life, yet there are no specs whether we're dealing with common batteries or an internal, proprietary one (which would somehow suck).

The commands are located in a very convenient place on the ear pieces and you'll get familiarized with them in a matter of minutes; a finger push and everything will be running just fine. Even more, you'll be spared the wiring fuss and no longer have to deal with dangling and coiling wires ruining your activities' pleasure. If this headset will sound as good and neat as it looks we might say that Mustek has finally made a serious step in the headphone manufacturers' ranks. As said before, the Mustek Fresstyle! are due in March 2008 for a price around $70 and will most likely become available worldwide.
