Many times we see games that we would really like to play but that are, unfortunately, only released on the Japanese market. If we're lucky, those games take around half a year or more to land on our consoles, but we still receive them with the same joy as if we would have had them since day one.

Here's some news that will clearly brighten many gamers' day, Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that they plan to bring both Soul Sacrifice Delta, the sequel to the acclaimed hack-and-slash Soul Sacrifice, as well as the upcoming Freedom Wars to the PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe later this year.

Freedom Wars is being developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Studio in collaboration with Dimps and Shift, and places players in the near future, where pollution has almost destroyed our planet, and as a result harsh penal colonies known as Panopticons have been established in order to secure Earth's remaining squandered resources.

Players will be able to customize their avatar and then delve into the action, working with up to seven other players to complete missions and reduce your harsh prison sentence in the ongoing fight for freedom.

Freedom Wars looks suspiciously similar to the popular manga / anime Attack on Titan, as far as your equipment goes, presenting something similar to the show's notorious Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear.

Hopefully, the game will afford you the same freedom and exciting gameplay possibilities, as it seems that your tasks will also be routinely taking down huge monsters.

Anyway, the announcement trailer sets the stage just right, informing you that you have been convicted for the crime of being alive, being sentenced to a measly 1 million years of prison time. So it's time to start doing push-ups while the game takes its time to make it to the west and prepare to take part in the ongoing struggle that will hopefully grant your liberty.

Soul Sacrifice Delta was just launched in Japan last month, being an extended cut of last year's hit on the handheld device, introducing many gameplay features and graphical improvements, as well as new levels, characters and spells.

The game also introduced a new faction, the Grim, as well as the ability to choose a third option, "Fate," on top of the existing "Sacrifice" or "Save" classic mechanics. Delta also allows you to make even more outlandish sacrifices, being able to trade your legs in exchange for a pair of wings.
