Lavasoft started the week by launching its Anniversary Edition of Ad-Aware. Raxco will begin the next one with the release of a new PerfectDisk. January 27th! Mark that date on the calendar because that's when Raxco brings out the fresh version of PerfectDisk. It is called PerfectDisk 10 and, at this time, it is the only defragmenter on the market that announced exclusive support for Microsoft's upcoming operating system, Windows 7. Also, it has received certification for Vista and Windows Server 2008.

If you want to benefit from a free of charge PerfectDisk 10, Raxco has announced that buying a license for the 2008 edition (and if you use the SAVETODAY code, you'll get 20% off ) all upgrades to the soon to be released iteration of the application are free.

The developer promises improved performance for your computer due to the integration of StealthPatrol technology, which will defragment drives only when the system is idle, and an engine that moves up to 30% faster. A new feature that took pretty long to be adopted by Raxco is the Pause function. Starting PerfectDisk 10, users benefit from pause option during defragmentation process for an unlimited amount of time.

Complete Space management reports are now an integer part of the software offering quick analysis of file and folder distribution all across the drive. Cumulative counters, a feature that enables PerfectDisk 10 to show the user the number of files that have been defragmented and the amount of free space recovered as a result of the software's drive improvement activity, is available in the new edition.

Scheduling is not left aside and the new edition of what has turned into a leading defragmentation product incorporates AutoPilot Scheduling, an extremely flexible task planning instrument that ensures automatic defragmentation of your drives at user specified times and dates, and how the task should be carried out.

All the options, features and functions come in a new wrapping designed to make your work with PerfectDisk the simplest job on your computer.

Together with the professional edition, Raxco will release on the 27th of January the other flavors in the PerfectDisk family: PerfectDisk 10 Server, PerfectDisk 10 for Exchange, PerfectDisk 10 for Windows Home Server, and the newest member, PerfectDisk 10 Home Edition. So, starting with home users and ending with server administrators, Raxco provides solutions for all interested in defragmenting disks and improving the overall performance of their system.

Stay tuned for an early review of PerfectDisk 10 Professional on Monday, January 26th. In the meantime, refresh your memory about PerfectDisk's capabilities with the 2008 review of the application.
