Until now, most of the Internet users were attracted by the idea of online video sharing services which allow them to upload videos and share them with other web consumers. Today, a new technology hits the market, presenting an innovative idea for the Internet users: document file sharing service which enables you to upload and share any document you want as long as you are on the legal side. This means you're not allowed to published copyright protected documents which might send you to the judge. At this time, the service is only a private beta and can be accessed only by invitation.

As far I can see now, after only 5 minutes of use, docstoc works pretty well, being based on an attractive interface. I can't say it's eye-candy, but at least it is well-looking, using nice document icons and other visual elements. The interesting fact is that there is no uploading limit, so you can upload as many documents as you want without any storage capacity. In addition, you can keep your files in private, so docstoc can easily turn into a web-based storage drive.

"docstoc is a user generated community for sharing professional documents. Find a vast quantity of high quality legal, business, technology, educational, and creative documents for free. docstoc allows users to upload their documents for all the world to share. In addition, users can store their documents in their own personal online folders for anytime, anywhere access", the developers describe the solution.

At this time, docstoc supports several text formats such as .doc, .pdf, .xls, .ppt, .ppt and .txt, but the parent company wants to expand the offering soon. In addition, once the technology becomes popular and more users register for it, docstoc might limit the uploading space for every registered member.
