A NeoOffice Mobile application for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad is now available for free download from the iTunes App Store, enabling owners of an iOS device to effortlessly and securely access their NeoOffice Mobile account and files, anywhere, anytime.

According to the development team behind NeoOffice Mobile, the application provides a secure way for users to access their account directly from their iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

The software works by allowing Mac OS X users to "publish" a document from within the desktop version of the word processing app to the NeoOffice Mobile server.

The synchronization process is done using a secure, encrypted connection.

Published documents are instantly viewable on any iPhone, iPod touch or iPad running iOS 4 or later, the app’s makers say, although iPads are still running iOS 3.2, or iOS 3.2.1 (the latest firmware version available for the tablet computer).

“We are continually working to improve the usefulness of NeoOffice Mobile for our users and as part of the on-going work, Ed and Tim have created something new for NeoOffice Mobile users,” reads an announcement on the NeoOffice Trinity forums.

“NeoOffice Mobile application for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch now available,” the announcement goes.

The author of the post (pluby) explains that, “While NeoOffice Mobile works well in Safari, navigating to the NeoOffice Mobile site can be inconvenient so we have created an application for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.”

To make life easier for fans of the popular word processor, users can now automatically connect to NeoOffice Mobile and instantly view their files using the NeoOffice Mobile application.

The forum post instructs fans to use iTunes and search for NeoOffice Mobile in the App Store, in order to download and install the app onto their iOS device.

Users are required to have a NeoOffice Mobile account in order to employ the NeoOffice Mobile application for its benefits. The software only supported viewing published documents, not editing.
