Jailbroken users rejoice! Developer Nick Z has set up this site that allows you to stream movies and TV shows to your iPhone for free! The site also features an upload section, where folks can upload their own movies and TV shows.

“Introducing LuckyVidz! A new site that allows you to stream movies and tv shows to your iphone [sic] for free! The site also features an upload section to upload your own movies and tv shows!” says Nick Z. “I just started developing this site about a week ago and coded from scratch. There is not much content as far as video on the site as of yet, but I'm hoping to gather a good member base that will contribute and upload videos. I will however be uploading videos myself as much as I can!” reads a post over at the modmyi forums. According to its maker, the site is still in Beta stage, but users can visit and watch videos from their iPhone now.

Some may ask what this web site actually does. Well, as Nick himself reveals, the site was designed specifically for the Apple handset. The videos are streamed wirelessly over 3G, Edge, or WiFi. Successful tests were carried out on a 3G device running OS 2.2, according to the developer.

Nick also explains that users needn't download anything. “The videos play on the iPhone's built in media player. If you would like to download the videos to your iPhone you can download and install 'Safari Download Plug-in' via Cydia. Note: You need a jailbroken iPhone for that option,” he says.
