14 DAY TRIAL // Glu Mobile has launched Gun Bros 2.0, a new version of their 3D action shooter for iDevices. The new release brings Multiplayer co-op mode and Game Center voice chat, among other enhancements.
Gun Bros has been downloaded more than 8 million times on iOS devices.
According to Glu, the Gun Bros multiplayer update and Game Center voice chat are poised to make “shockwaves” through the gamer install-base.
Thanks to these new additions, players can now work together as ‘Bros’ to level up faster and defeat the evil T.O.O.L. organization.
“Like a super-powered fungus gone haywire, the evil T.O.O.L organization has grown from the dankest levels of the criminal underworld to spread its own brand of malevolent funk to every corner of the galaxy,” goes the plot laid out by Glu.
“Most recently, they’ve set their sights on harvesting the rare element Xplodium in an effort to create even more powerful weapons to enslave the universe… But not if the GUN BROS have anything to do about it!”
Players can now earn valuable Bro-Buff power-ups with each additional Bro recruited.
These increase their speed, damage, armor, extra points and payout.
Players will be able to earn War Bucks, coins, extra points and more by completing Bro-Ops daily challenges.

"Adding Multiplayer functionality to Gun Bros gives players a real-time social experience while giving new and long-time Gun Bros fans alike a fresh and compelling experience."
Gun Bros live co-op multiplayer is supported on Wi-Fi as well as on 3G.
The Gun Bros game is free to download from the App Store for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad in the Games category. It requires iOS 3.0 or later to run, meaning every iDevice model is supported, including the original iPhone.
