The event will discuss the future of broadband technologies and services

Between the 9th and 12th of October, France Telecom is hosting this year's edition of the annual Broadband World Forum Europe, held at CNIT-Paris La D?fense. The event will be opened on October, 9th, by Fran?ois Loos, Minister of Industry, and Didier Lombard, France Telecom Chairman & CEO.

The event will focus on the future of broadband technologies and services and will bring together telecommunications manufacturers from around the world. The list of participants includes over 100 companies, such as Motorola, Nokia, IBM, Microsoft, Philips, Texas Instruments and other major companies, that will perform demonstrations or participate in conferences. The main subjects discussed will include Ethernet, ADSL2+, VDSL, FTTx, Wimax, 3G+ services and content for convergent services.

The Broadband World Forum Europe is held every year in a different European city. Last year's event in Madrid was attended by nearly 5,500 participants of 126 different nationalities. The Broadband World Forum Asia is also held every year in May and in September this year and the first edition of the Broadband World Forum America was held in Vancouver.
