After shipping over 50 million tablets in 2013, Foxconn Electronics officially became Taiwan’s largest ODM.

Now, sources inside supply chain makers report, via DigiTimes, that Foxconn will maintain a steady position, as it’s expected to ship 55-60 million units in 2014, thus maintaining the status of top ODM in the country.

Foxconn has managed to achieve its glory, mainly thanks to the iPad, but the company has undertaken ODM production for Amazon’s tablets too.

The second largest ODM in the country which supplies orders for the iPad, Surface and ASUS slates, Pegatron has managed to ship only 25 million units in 2013 (approximately a half, compared to Foxconn) and is expected to remain the second-largest ODM in the country with 25 to 28 million shipped in 2014.

The other two largest ODMs, Compal Electronics and Quanta Computer shipped 7 million and 15-16 million respectively in 2013.
