On Tuesday, visitors of FoxNews.com were presented with a headline that read “Weeeeeeeeee,” followed by “Stuff yo.” The programming alert featured a message that read “World Zombie Day to Bring Out the Living Dead.” Many rushed to conclude that the website was hacked.

However, Fox News has clarified that these messages, along with one that announced the launch of Apple’s Mavericks Sea Lion at WWDC 2013, have been caused by an internal production issue, not a hacker attack.

“As you may have seen, FoxNews.com is having issues. It's an internal production problem and will be fixed soon,” Fox stated on Twitter.

The company’s representatives have told The Huffington Post that a homepage prototype was mistakenly uploaded to the website during routine maintenance.

Engineers quickly addressed the issue. However, it obviously wasn’t quick enough.
