One fox living in Norbury, south London, recently ended up hanging upside down for 4 hours after its tail got caught in a fence. The animal was eventually rescued, yet this adventure unfortunately cost it the end of its tail.

The people who helped the animal free itself believe that the fox's tail got caught in the fence as the animal tried to jump over it.

According to Daily Mail, the animal was first spotted by someone living nearby. It was this person who alerted the staff at Riverside Animal Center in Beddington, Surrey and asked that somebody come and free the fox.

Presently, the animal is looked after by the people working at said animal sanctuary. Despite their efforts to save whatever remained of the fox's tail, it appears that the animal keeps biting it.

Because of this, they fear that they might soon have to amputate it. As Center Manager Ted Burden explains, “Where he was suspended it has pulled all the nerves and as the feeling starts to come back he can’t rationalize it like we can - he just wants to bite it.”
