They all bear the Accelero brand and are universally compatible

Graphics card coolers often have trouble supporting more than one or two graphics cards, unless their makers take pains to modify them from the factory whenever you place an order, depending on the intended board. Not so for the new Accelero series from Arctic Cooling.

There are four new graphics card coolers up for sale, or there will be soon enough. They are called Accelero Hybrid II-120, the Accelero Xtreme IV, the Accelero Xtreme IV 280, and the Accelero Twin Turbo III.

We'll look at the Accelero Xtreme IV first. It has a heatsink that comes into contact with the GPU, while a backside heatsink chills the memory and the VRM.

It is taller than a video board, but still only occupies two PCI Express slots, thickness-wise. Two aluminum fin-stacks are arranged along the length of the heatsink, linked to the GPU via five 6 mm copper heatpipes.

Meanwhile, three 92 mm fans with 4-pin PWM control keep heat away. All in all, the product measures 288 x 104 x 54 mm / 11.33 x 4.09 x 2.12 inches.

The Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme IV supports the NVIDIA graphics cards powered by GK110 GPU (GTX 780 / 780 Ti / Titan) and GK104 (GTX 760 etc.), GK106 (GTX 660), plus AMD Hawaii (Radeon R9 290X), Tahiti (R9 280X) and Pitcairn/Curacao graphics adapters (R9 270X). All for $130 / €130.

The second cooler, Accelero Xtreme IV 280(X), is a version of the above but with a retention module specialized for AMD Tahiti GPU cards, including the R9 280, R9 280X, and HD 7900 series (except dual-GPU 7990). It has a price of $100 / €100.

Accelero Twin Turbo III is a product with a tall heatsink for the GPU (dense aluminum fin array), with fins arranged along the height of the heatsink. Two 92 mm fans ventilate everything.

All in all, this cooler measures 217 x 122 x 53 mm / 8.54 x 4.80 x 2.08 inches and can handle up to 250 W loads. As for the GPU support list, it is the same as on the Accelero Xtreme IV, but without AMD "Hawaii" and "Tahiti"-based card compatibility. The price is $80 / €80.

Finally, the Accelero Hybrid II-120 is a combo of air and liquid cooling, with a heatsink for the VRM and memory, plus a closed-loop water cooler for the GPU, with a 120 mm radiator and a round copper base plate. With the same GPU support list as the Accelero IV Extreme, it has a price of $130 / €130.
