The company has just announced the availability of a new product called Photosmooth Pearl 290 that was designed to replace the now discontinued ILFORD Galerie Smooth Pearl 290 and featuring a similar price point.
“Since it became apparent in 2012 that there were financial difficulties and with a strong desire to maintain such excellent products we have been working on providing an almost silent swap for the many Ilford Galerie users and I am pleased to announce that we have achieved our goal,” said John Herlinger, Fotospeed MD.
“The new Photo Smooth Pearl has a white point, texture, surface finish, weight and most importantly price to satisfy the Ilford Galerie use,” Herlinger added.
The new Fotospeed Photosmooth Pearl 290 Inkjet paper comes with a natural white, instant dry, resin-coated design to satisfy any Ilford Galerie user. The new Inkjet paper is now available for pre-order from the Fotospeed online store at a price ranging from £6.98 / €8 / $12 for the Photo Smooth Pearl 290 6x4 25 Sheets to £284.99 / €345 / $472 for the Photo Smooth Pearl 290 A3+ 300 Sheets.
