Boinx Software has updated its FotoMagico slideshow creation tool for Mac OS X to version 2.5. The new release brings support for Adobe Lightroom libraries, a teleprompter for viewing notes for every slide on a display, and an exporting feature for uploading slideshow videos to YouTube, to name a just few noteworthy additions.

FotoMagico has been designed for Mac OS X users who are required to create and present live slideshow presentations, making it possible for them to display pictures in the highest possible quality given the limitations of a presentation device (an LCD screen or projector). The software also emphasizes easy and powerful authoring of your presentation, besides high image quality. Lastly, FotoMagico's simple and elegant user interface makes the software ideal to create and present live slideshow presentations and, as of now, to upload them for the whole world to see.

Version 2.5 of Boinx Software's FotoMagico also adds features like the new teleprompter, which, Boinx says, helps with live narration while presenting a slideshow on stage, by displaying upcoming slides and notes. The latest release sports an included iMedia Browser, which makes browsing your image libraries even easier, as well as Adobe Lightroom support. One of the most important additions, direct to YouTube export, is accompanied by a new Sharing Assistant plugin that lets you export Slideshows to YouTube, and upload them to your account.

FotoMagico requirements call for QuickTime 7.1 or higher, 800MHz G4 processor or better, 512MB of RAM, a supported Core Image capable graphics card with a lot of VRAM (64MB or more). Boinx also notes that, for optimum results, users should run the software on a PowerPC G5 or Intel Core Duo processor or better, with 1GB of RAM or more, and a 128MB (or more) graphics card.

Existing users can upgrade to FotoMagico 2.5 for free. Those who wish to try before they buy can use the same link to download a demo version of the slideshow creation tool. NOTE: As long as you use FotoMagico with a demo key, it will include a watermark in every slideshow you create. The demo license is valid for 5 days starting with the day you receive the license. After that, you need to enter a new key.
